Storytelling Q&A

What Story Should We Tell First?

By now, I think most of us agree that storytelling is an awesome tool and opportunity for the non-profit sector. It gives the community that “inside” look into our organizations and also helps to make the work we do more relatable.

Teaching my workshops and also writing online about non-profit storytelling, I get a lot of questions from people who are just starting to experiment with storytelling. But the one that I get asked most often is – what story should we tell first?

Today, I’m going to share two approaches to answering this question that will help you decide what story to tell first.

As I mentioned in the video, understanding what goal you’re trying to achieve is key. It will allow you to make a more informed decision about your strategy.

I’ve got two great training opportunities coming up in November to help you tell learn to tell your organization’s stories in a more powerful way – an e-course and a virtual workshop. Full details to come next week.

But if you want to be the first to know, be sure to sign up for weekly updates below!

As always, thanks for reading and watching. I hope you have an awesome week!
