About two weeks ago I was at the Association of Donor Relations Professionals conference in Seattle. There were over 500 donor relations professionals in attendance from universities, health care and other organizations.
It was my first ADRP conference and I have to say they are the most creative group of philanthropy professionals I’ve encountered. I attended one session from Make a Wish Great San Francisco that was a case study on the Batkid phenomenon from last year. How cool is that!
I was invited to talk about storytelling and donor relations. The session was a lot of fun and lots of people asked great questions and were tweeting up a storm! I put together a Storify to capture the highlights from the session.
