Non-Profit Storytelling Resource Round Up – Vol. 26

Happy August!

These last few weeks have been. . . strange for me. I’ve had some health issues that have forced me to work less and focus on resting and recovering. Being still has never been a strong suit for me, and I’ve tried to see this whole experience as an opportunity to grow. As I am slowly transitioning back into part-time work this week, I’m feeling very grateful to be feeling better.

I hope you enjoy this month’s resource round up.

Interviews & Resources

Thanks to Bloomerang for including one of my recent blog posts in their monthly Nonprofit Wrap-Up.

3 Stories That Will Help Your Nonprofit Raise More Money This Year – a guest blog I wrote for EveryDayHero.

More Storytelling Tips

I could not recommend reading this enough! It’s Not What You Say, It’s How You Are by Mark Rovner.

The Sadness Game – a wonderful article on sadness and narrative interviewing.

I’ve been toying with the idea of resurrecting my video blogs. As I’ve been doing some research, I came across this video editing software that I’m eager to try.

Water Underground put together a beautiful digital information package for donors. I enjoyed the way the told the organization’s story.

A great example of a board member story from Journalism & Women Symposium.

Food for thought: Facebook is predicting the end of the written word.
