I have often talked about email communications and appeals that I have received and loved here on the blog. As a practitioner, I am always curious to see what other organizations are up to. It’s a way for me to see trends as well as things to avoid. Some things even make it into an inspiration file that I keep for writing.
Recently, I had a request from a reader to share which non-profit email lists I currently subscribe to. Without further adieu here is my current list.
Human Rights Watch
Invisible Children
Unicef USA Fund
Oxfam America
Union Gospel Mission Vancouver
Smithsonian National Zoo
San Francisco Zoo

The Humane Society of the United States

San Fransisco Zoo one is AWESOME!
I subscribe to a lot of hospital foundations and health organizations: SickKids, BC Cancer Foundation,Canadian Cancer Society, VGH & UBC Foundation, STARS, Calgary Health Trust, AB Children’s Hospital Foundation, Sinai Foundation. For non health causes I subscribe to charity:water and Mustard Seed.
Thanks for your suggestions, Nicole! I’m actually a bit surprised I don’t have any health organizations on my list. Gotta change that.
