How many times have you wished that donors would make an undesignated gift, or directly fund your organizations infrastructure (or overhead) costs?
Many times, I’m sure!
This is a conundrum that so many of us face and this week a Storytelling Non-Profit reader wrote in with a great question for this week’s Storytelling Q&A.
Nicole asks:
“Our organization needs to fundraise for more of our infrastructure costs. Compared to our programs, which are always well funded, this is a lot harder to sell. How can we turn this idea of infrastructure into something more exciting that our donors will want to fund?”
Watch this week’s video hear my answer to this question.
In the video I mentioned this appeal from Women Against Violence Against Women, which is a great example of using storytelling to inspire donors to fund infrastructure costs.
As always, thank you so much for watching this edition of the Storytelling Q&A.
