How to Create a Story Collection Form

In a blog post from a few years ago, I shared 5 tools that non-profits can use for storytelling. One of those is an online form that your colleagues can use to share stories with development and communications staff.

Recently, I’ve had a few people ask me how to create one of these forms so I created a short video tutorial that will show you how to do it step-by-step.

Hi Vanessa – I don’t work at a nonprofit (digital marketing firm), but I wanted to say thanks for the post. We recently launched an app and we’re looking for users like nonprofits and schools that we can highlight on the website. The thought of using a story collection form never crossed my mind.

Anyway, just found the blog and I’m definitely subscribing. Thanks for writing!

Hey Kia – thanks for the comment! Online forms are so useful and I can definitely see how that would help you collect testimonials and stories about your app.

One thing that I also do is use Zapier to integrate the form submissions to Evernote, which is where I like to keep things.
