Last month during my webinar on storytelling trends for 2017, one of the things that we spent some time talking about was video. And in particular live video.
In 2016, we saw more social media platforms incorporate live video into their platforms such as Facebook Live. Additionally, if you think about your own social media consumption habits, I’m willing to bet that you also watch more videos last year.
With the rise of video, there is an exciting opportunity for non-profits to tell their stories in new ways. I’m especially interested to see how organizations will use Facebook Live.
Facebook Live has the potential to be a great tool for storytelling and donor stewardship.
Here are some pretty cool examples
Explore.org used Facebook Live to record a live dive.
The Met has been using Facebook Live to give people behind the scenes looks.
Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center used Facebook Live as a part of their big fundraising event.
I’d love to know if your organization has been using Facebook Live. What kinds of things are you broadcasting? How has it been going?
