A few weeks ago I hosted a reader survey and a number of people requested more free resources. Today I’m delivering!
I totally understand why they asked for free resources. I have worked at and with many organizations that are on shoestring budgets. This makes it difficult (if not impossible) to get access to training and resources that will help you do your job better.
Today I want to share a resource with you that I use at my storytelling workshops. It’s the “Tell Your Story” Exercise.
Spoiler Alert – this is the final activity that we do at the storytelling workshops. It’s a fun way to end the workshops as it helps you connect to your personal story about why you do the work you do. I created it originally because I all too often I saw people struggling with the question, “Why do you work at that organization?”
This worksheet will guide you through several questions to help you identify your personal story, which you can use when you are out in the community.
It’s also a great activity to do as a part of a team retreat or team building day.
